My family’s connection to New York’s legal community spans more than fifty years. It began in 1973, when my father, Robert Hopkins, and my uncle, Joseph E. Keyes, founded Lawyers PhotoPrint, Inc., a small microfilm and photostat service built for New York law firms and corporations.

From the first office copier, the iconic Xerox 914, through the Xerox 9500 and Docutech production systems, our family grew with every major advance in document technology. By the 1980s and 1990s, operating as Attorneys Duplicating, the second generation was running more than 40 production copiers across two Manhattan locations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, handling major document productions for many of New York’s top law firms.

In 2008, Attorneys Duplicating completed a merger. My brother Thomas and I founded SourceOne Copy Center on West 39th Street, specializing in document scanning, e-discovery, and our eclosingbinders.com service, delivering custom branded digital closing binders to real estate attorneys across the region.

After the pandemic and a long citywide shutdown, we came back stronger, rebranded as ScanMyDocs, and expanded to serve both Long Island and New York City.

Today we offer the same trusted scanning services, now with secure on-site scanning, browser-based closing binders, and custom software built around the way each client works, for law firms, medical practices, and property managers alike.

Our services have changed a lot since my father and uncle set that original standard. Our commitment to personal relationships and exceptional service for every client hasn’t changed at all.
